It´s a – tough – truth: the ones who´ve lost their hearts feel distressed, if not enraged, by the ones who still have it intact.
The ones who have closed their hearts – due to pain, fear or resentment – get deeply annoyed by the ones who still have it open.
The ones who stopped being human – having faith in humanity – cannot recognize humanity in others.
Once you´ve put the armour on, you feel scared (disarmed?) by the ones who walk around with an open chest.
There´s nothing more challenging, urgent or brave, in this world than keeping your humanity alive. And, make no mistake, there´s no humanity without a pure heart. Make sure you take care of that sacred garden.
I ask God to protect me from cynicism and sourness – the beginning of all ugliness.
