Thankful and inspired. Let´s do this! Here´s a sneak peak at the Preface of The Secrets of Egypt – Dance, Life and Beyond by Joana Saahirah 2nd Edition. Enjoy:

“- Did you know there´s a bellydancer amongst us? – The question was ushered, in a dirty secret tone, into a helpless gentleman ears, too busy talking about the semantic density of William Shakespeare sonnets. He was also focused, with eyes shrinking in a deep spiritual effort, in deciphering a detail found in a painting of one of the college patrons, hanging on the dinning room wall (the painting, not the patron). Ah, and he was eating his banana, his breakfast banana.

-What?! Is that so? – He was dragged out of his mental retreat, a neat place where light pieces of Beethoven and Chopin play 24 hours per day; a haven where only logic, perfectly tailored tweeds and civilized manners exist. He left the patron´s painting behind – “to hell with that chap!” – and bit his banana in a nervous emotional crescendo. His eyes were instantly glued to the ground, where they remained for an whole minute, enjoying a peculiar kind of hysterical attack. Could somebody call an ambulance, please? The man would surely have a stroke; he acted as if 3rd World War had been announced.”
