(please, God, if you exist and you´ve given me a brain you obviously wanted me to use it so don´t be surprised if I doubt your existence – you wouldn´t give wings to a person and forbid her to fly, would you?)
Please, God (if you exist), don´t let me go blind: there are too many colours, all shades of light and dark, and love and flowers and hugs – I need to see them with my hands and taste them with the only eyes that matter. Please don´t shut them/me down.
Please, God (if you exist), don´t let me turn into one of those caged birds who are so afraid of loneliness they end up living with nobody except lying ghosts. Solitude and unity are our destinies. No one should sleep in my bed without the sparkle that lights the whole blessed thing on fire.
Please, God (if you exist), don´t let me sell my heart in exchange for security, comformity or any other kind of mediocre alibis. God, if you exist, keep that weakness away from my backyard.
Please, God (if you exist), don´t let me turn sour, small, indifferent, apathic. Protect me from the diseases of our time: the diseases of all times – screw them, God; screw them and put them in the garbage.
Please, God (if you exist), don´t let me refrain from believing in fairies, true love, eyes that mean what they say, princes & princesses, the power of dance and dreams that come true without an enormous bloody price tag attached to it.
Please, God (if you exist), don´t let me lose my Humanity: may the tear and the smile keep falling from my face with the easiness of titans and the courage of children.
Please, God (if you exist), just let me be me.
I know you do.
